Vietnam SuperPort and Vietnam Post Corporation (Vietnam Post) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop customised platforms to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to export goods to Asian markets. This strategic partnership plays a key role in enhancing the flow of goods across the region, opening up a convenient path for SMEs to access international markets. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Jaya Ratnam, Ambassador of Singapore to Vietnam; Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort and Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Head of the Board of Members, Vietnam Post Corporation. The MoU marks the beginning of a cooperative relationship between Vietnam SuperPort TM and Vietnam Post, leveraging the strengths of both parties to develop effective trade and logistics solutions. Both parties are committed to providing SMEs with seamless solutions that simplify the process of exporting goods. Specifically, Vietnam SuperPort TM and Vietnam Post cooperate to support SMEs to connect with Asian markets through the multi-channel solutions of YSG - a full-service e-commerce solution provider of YCH Group. This initiative helps SMEs access comprehensive logistics solutions, in which Vietnam SuperPort TM acts as a multi-modal distribution center supported by the YSG e-commerce platform. Vietnam Post provides EMS Express services and is the exclusive provider of first- and last-mile delivery services for SMEs. Through this method, SMEs will optimize transportation and storage costs as well as ensure warehouse stability when accessing international markets. In addition, Vietnam SuperPort TM will cooperate with Vietnam Post to develop an integrated logistics market, connecting the ecosystem including: bonded warehouses, customers, shipping agents, banks with comprehensive digitalized operations and payment processes. This platform will directly link with banks and apply blockchain technology to integrate financial resources and disbursement methods, helping SMEs improve their access to financial solutions. The first phase of the project will be piloted for businesses in Vinh Phuc province exporting goods to Singapore, then it will be expanded to other provinces and cities nationwide and move towards other markets in Asia. Previously, at the Vietnam Innovation Day 2024, Vietnam SuperPort TM announced a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap, leveraging advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) to promote the capacity of Vietnam's logistics industry.
