According to Neowin , after achieving great success on PC, the next stop for the Baldur's Gate 3 game is expected to be the console territory. Although the PlayStation 5 version has appeared alongside the PC version, the Xbox version has encountered some problems. However, Xbox owners will not have to wait too long, as Microsoft has just confirmed that the game is expected to be released in 2023.
Baldur's Gate 3 is coming to Xbox this year
Larian Studios founder and CEO Swen Vincke recently shared on Twitter that the Xbox Series X/S version of the RPG will be released this year. This comes after he met with Xbox head Phil Spencer, presumably at Gamescom 2023.
Unfortunately, the Xbox Series S version of Baldur's Gate 3 will ship without split-screen co-op, while the Series X will have it. While the graphical differences between the X and S versions are quite significant, this is perhaps the first time an Xbox game has shipped without a built-in feature.
Larian previously confirmed in February that the Xbox version was experiencing development delays due to issues with split-screen co-op, and several reports have since revealed that bringing the feature to the Series S has been difficult.
Baldur's Gate 3 was originally supposed to release for PC and PlayStation 5 in late August. However, a last-minute change pushed the PC version's launch date back to August 3, while the PlayStation 5 version was released on September 6.
