Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien has just signed a directive to units under the ministry, industry associations, enterprises, and Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities requesting the implementation of solutions to ensure supply-demand balance and market stabilization at the end of 2023 and the Lunar New Year 2024.
In this document, the Minister of Industry and Trade requested the Department of Industry and Trade of localities to direct petroleum businesses in the area to fully reserve and have plans to ensure supply for the market at the end of the year and the 2024 Lunar New Year.
Accordingly, the local Department of Industry and Trade coordinates with competent authorities to strengthen supervision and inspection of sales maintenance and implementation of legal regulations on petroleum trading, quality inspection, measurement, and selling prices of petroleum circulating on the market.
The Petroleum Group, the Oil and Gas Group and key petroleum trading enterprises shall carry out circulation reserves according to regulations, ensuring the total minimum allocated petroleum source.
Enterprises must have plans to ensure a stable supply of gasoline to serve production and consumption of people and businesses at the end of the year and before, during and after Tet; and not to interrupt the supply of gasoline in the business system.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that over the past 10 months, the Ministry has coordinated with ministries and branches to ensure that gasoline prices are managed without jerkiness and without affecting consumers.
The Ministry also uses the price stabilization fund to limit strong fluctuations in domestic gasoline prices compared to fluctuations in world prices, contributing to the goal of controlling inflation and supporting economic recovery, ensuring harmony of interests between gasoline businesses and users.
Currently, the selling prices of gasoline and oil today are applied according to the prices at the management session on the afternoon of November 1 of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade.
Specifically, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 249 VND/liter, to 22,614 VND/liter, the price of RON95 gasoline increased by 416 VND/liter, to 23,929 VND/liter.
Meanwhile, diesel price decreased by 549 VND/liter, not higher than 21,940 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 448 VND/liter, not higher than 22,305 VND/liter and fuel oil decreased by 373 VND/kg, not higher than 16,240 VND/kg.
Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have undergone 31 adjustments, including 18 increases, 9 decreases, and 4 unchanged.
