This morning, September 5, Quang Tri Province Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities solemnly held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2024 - 2025. Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Quang Tung attended.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities has successfully completed its key tasks. In the 2024 high school graduation exam, the graduation pass rate reached 100%; the average score of graduation exam subjects reached 6.5 points, ranking 6th among high schools in the province.
The provincial contest for excellent 12th grade students achieved 8 prizes out of 12 students (67%); the team of excellent students in Geography, Civic Education, and Literature achieved many high prizes; the provincial science and technology contest had 3/3 topics winning prizes. 7/134 grade 12 students were admitted to the Party at the age of 18.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the school will continue to organize teaching and education for 414 students who are children of ethnic minorities in the districts of Huong Hoa, Dakrong, Vinh Linh, Gio Linh, and Cam Lo.
Of which, the school welcomed 140 new grade 10 students (students admitted to the 2024-2027 course) to enroll, many of whom had excellent secondary school results and very high admission scores.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Principal of the Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities Nguyen The Long hoped and believed that the students would quickly integrate into the new learning and boarding environment, demonstrating and promoting the strengths of each individual and each group right in the first school year at this school with rich traditions.

Grade 12 students should look at the bright examples of learning from the previous course to set goals to reach with a good sense of learning and a strong determination. As for grade 11 students, this is the second school year implementing the new 2018 General Education Program, a foundation year, creating a solid knowledge base for them to approach and conquer the goals of the final grade of high school, so they need to make greater efforts.
I hope that every teacher will listen and understand the voices of students, helping them to acquire knowledge and continuously improve. The new school year 2024 - 2025 has begun. Although there are many difficulties, the school is always united, creative, enthusiastic in competing, constantly innovating teaching methods according to the motto of substance, practicality and high efficiency, continuing to excellently complete the tasks of the school year.

Working with the school, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung acknowledged and commended the achievements the school had made in the past school year.
With the school's proposals and recommendations, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Department of Education and Training, Quang Tri town and related departments, branches and units to pay attention to surveying, evaluating, calculating and allocating appropriate resources to invest in school facilities to better meet the increasingly high requirements for teaching and learning; speed up the construction of a drainage system in the schoolyard area, and invest in sports grounds.
Improve nutrition, calculate appropriate subject structure; need teachers, ethnic minority artisans or cultural officers to help students understand and preserve traditions and cultural identity so that later they will become the core in preserving the good culture of their nation. Need to continue promoting the work of training and recruiting party members from excellent students.
The education and training sector should mobilize resources, especially resources from national target programs, to build educational infrastructure and public housing for teachers in mountainous areas; localities need to plan land funds for the construction of educational facilities...

Visiting the school's kitchen and dormitory, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung acknowledged the school's efforts in taking good care of the students' meals and accommodations.
Talking to the students, the Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that the Party, State and local authorities always care about and create the best conditions for them to study and practice with peace of mind. Therefore, he hopes that the students need to have high determination, great ambition and aspiration to excel in their studies to build a bright future and contribute to their village, homeland and country in the future.

On the occasion of the new school year, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung presented the school with a 65-inch TV to serve the application of IT in teaching; leaders of the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Provincial Association for Promoting Education, Quang Tri town and units and enterprises presented many gifts and scholarships to encourage students of the school on the occasion of the new school year.
