Arrested many thieves and robbers in Ho Chi Minh City

On September 28, District 12 Police (HCMC) prosecuted and temporarily detained Nguyen Quang Tao (born in 1985, residing in Quang Tri province, Hoc Mon district) for the crime of "Theft of property".

Previously, on the evening of September 9, Mr. D. (born in 1996, a manager) was working at the FPT Shop digital retail store on Phan Van Hon Street (Tan Thoi Nhat Ward, District 12) when he discovered that a Dell laptop was missing from the display shelf. Through the security camera, Mr. D. discovered that the man took advantage of the employee's negligence to steal, so he reported it to the police.

Through professional expertise, the police identified the suspect as Tao. On the afternoon of September 14, detectives discovered Tao returning to his rented room and arrested him. At the police station, Tao confessed to stealing the laptop and bringing it to a pawn shop for 10 million VND. In addition, Tao confessed to having committed at least 4 other thefts using similar methods.

On September 28, Go Vap District Police also detained Nguyen Thanh Dat (residing in District 12) to investigate the act of "Robbery". Previously, on the evening of September 23, Dat drove his motorbike around many streets to look for vulnerable people to rob.

When Dat arrived in front of the milk tea shop on Le Duc Tho Street (Ward 9, Go Vap District), he discovered Ms. T. (living in Binh Duong Province) placing 2 phones on the table, so he drove close to the table, grabbed the 2 phones and escaped.

After that, Dat ran to District 10 to sell the stolen property to a phone store. Because he could not sell one phone, Dat brought it back to the hotel to hide.

Through investigation, the police arrested Dat and recovered the evidence of the case. On September 27, the police returned the property to Ms. T..
