It is expected that on the morning of October 4, at Binh Dien Ninh Binh Joint Stock Company (Khanh Phu commune, Yen Khanh district, Ninh Binh province), the launching ceremony of the program "Bringing livelihoods to people in storm and flood areas" in Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces in 2024 will take place.
This is a program organized by Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company in coordination with Nong thon Ngay nay/Dan Viet newspaper; Department of Crop Production (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), under the direction of the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

This program supports agricultural materials including corn seeds and fertilizers for people in Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces who suffered damage caused by storm No. 3. The organizers hope that this support will help people quickly restore agricultural production and reduce damage caused by storms and floods.

The total value of the program “Bringing livelihoods to people in storm and flood areas” is 3 billion VND. A livelihood package given to a farming household includes: 4kg of corn seeds; 100kg of organic fertilizer; 100kg of NPK 5-10-3 fertilizer; 100kg of NPK 12-5-10 fertilizer. With this support package, farmers can use it for 2,000m2 of land.
It is expected that from October 5-6, 2024, the organizing committee will give 700 livelihood packages to farmers in Lao Cai province. From October 8-9, 2024, the organizing committee will give 600 livelihood packages to Yen Bai province.

In addition to providing seedlings and fertilizers, the program also improves farmers’ knowledge of plant care through technical training sessions. Training contents include: restoring fields and gardens, improving productivity and quality of agricultural products, etc.
