Binh Dien Fertilizer: Promoting Vietnam - Laos cooperation through agriculture
The cooperation between Binh Dien and Phongsavanh Group began in 2023. PHAIBOUN TRAIDING IM&EX Co. Ltd. of Phongsavanh Group and Binh Dien - Quang Tri Joint Stock Company officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on business cooperation. This is not only a strategic step in promoting the export of NPK fertilizer under the Dau Trau Fertilizer brand to the Lao market, but also marks the beginning of the process of transferring scientific and technological advances in agricultural cultivation between the two countries.
After signing the agreement, Binh Dien – Quang Tri Company has deployed Dau Trau fertilizer products to important growing areas of Laos, including Chapasat, PakSong and Savanakhet provinces. Here, demonstration sites using Dau Trau fertilizer on coffee and rice – the main crops of Laos – were organized, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the products as well as the advanced farming processes that Binh Dien has developed.

According to Mr. Ngo Van Dong, General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, the cooperative relationship with Phongsavanh Group is not only a business opportunity, but also a mission and responsibility of Binh Dien. He affirmed: “We not only want to bring high-quality fertilizer products, but also want to share the knowledge and farming experience that have been accumulated throughout our operations in Vietnam. This is especially important for poor farmers, helping them access advanced farming solutions and gradually improve agricultural productivity.”
