According to the announcement from the organizing committee, the book "Xứ nước miền nam" by singer Jun Pham won the C prize. "Xứ nước miền nam" was written by Jun Pham while staying at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, the work was born as a movie script, but was later developed by the male artist into a book for children. The book has many bright colors, innocent sentences, suitable for children's age. In "Xứ nước miền nam", Jun Pham tells the story of Mr. Thu's journey, who travels through many strange lands to save his daughter. The male singer used familiar names such as Mi Goi, To He, Uncle Cuoi, Mother Min, Huynh Diep... to call the characters in the story "Xứ nước miền nam". Notably, the character of Uncle Cuoi was created by Jun Pham based on the prototype of his late father, with many personality traits from Mr. Pham Van Thu. He also included childhood memories of the father and son in the book. In addition to the story from his own life, Jun Pham also collected the lives of those around him to create "The Endless Land". Jun Pham was born in 1989, real name Pham Duy Thuan, living and working in Ho Chi Minh City. He was involved in art early, entering the entertainment industry as a model and acting in commercials. In 2010, Jun Pham debuted with the music group 365 including members Isaac, ST Son Thach, Will and Tronie Ngo. After 5 years of operation, the group 365 disbanded, Jun Pham switched to independent singing. In addition to music, he is also talented in acting, screenwriting, writing books... Recently, Jun Pham impressed the audience when participating in the program "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai". Regarding the National Book Award, this year, the number of entries increased compared to before. Up to 51 publishers submitted 372 books for the award, an increase of 25% compared to last year. The final jury unanimously agreed to award 3 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 21 C prizes and 23 consolation prizes. This year's award has an additional category of "Books loved by readers". The awarded books will be displayed at the Opera House, giving readers the opportunity to admire typical works over the years. In addition, online channels will be used to introduce books, increase the spread of the award, and promote the love of books in the community.
