On the evening of December 18, 2024, in Hanoi, the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality - Ministry of Science and Technology held the National Quality Award Ceremony and the Asia-Pacific International Quality Award 2021-2023 for 133 enterprises.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Xuan Dinh - Chairman of the National Quality Award Council said that from 2021 to now, despite facing difficulties and challenges, many businesses have demonstrated their ability to respond flexibly, adapt strongly, ensure jobs for workers and maintain growth. The businesses that were awarded the National Quality Award by the Prime Minister during this period are a testament to their efforts to innovate the application of tools to improve productivity, quality, and perfect the management system, thereby achieving positive results, contributing to the recovery and development of the country's economy.
The National Quality Award is implemented according to the Law on Product and Goods Quality and belongs to the Asia-Pacific International Quality Award (GPEA) system with the aim of encouraging enterprises to build and apply management systems, models, and tools to improve productivity and quality, thereby enhancing competitiveness and actively contributing to the development of the country. Participation in the program is a process for enterprises to comprehensively evaluate their activities, production/business results and quality management systems according to international standards, specifically through the program's system of 7 criteria: Role of leadership; Operational strategy; Customer and market-oriented policy; Measurement, analysis and knowledge management; Human resource management; Operational process management; Operational results.
The National Quality Award has attracted special attention and created prestige among businesses, management agencies and people nationwide, while honoring businesses with outstanding achievements in improving product and service quality, competitiveness and operational efficiency, and integrating with the regional and world economy.
