This afternoon, March 31, the first phase - the 7th Provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024 officially ended with many impressive successes, in which, the most outstanding were the organization and operation of the professional tournament; high professional quality; security, order and medical work were ensured; attracting a large number of officials, teachers, parents and students to cheer for the athletes.

Phase 1 officially started on March 27 and ended on March 31, with 1,735 athletes competing in 7 sports including: volleyball, table tennis, shuttlecock, soccer, aerobics, badminton, and chess.
Mr. Le Ngoc Thanh, chief specialist of the Secondary Education - Continuing Education Department, Department of Education and Training, said that during the first round of competitions, the Steering Committee of the 7th Provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival regularly inspected the facilities, equipment, and tools for the competitions to ensure good service for the organization of the competitions; visited and encouraged the referee team to concentrate highly to complete the assigned tasks well...
The first round was highly appreciated for its professional organization and management of the competitions. The quality of the 7 competitions was high, notably the primary school boys' soccer, primary school aerobics, primary, secondary and high school table tennis, and secondary and high school badminton... which took place enthusiastically.
The athletes competed with all their might, creating many exciting and emotional matches. The police and medical staff performed their assigned tasks well. The team leaders and coaches did a good job of managing and ensuring the athletes had good food and accommodation, and were mentally and physically comfortable to participate in the competitions.
A large number of officials, teachers, parents, and students always accompanied, supported materially, and encouraged the athletes... At the end of the first round, 295 sets of medals were awarded to teams and individuals who achieved high results in 7 competitions.

After the end of the first phase, the Steering Committee of the 7th Provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival continued to focus on directing assigned schools and individuals to strengthen coordination, prepare forces, vehicles, facilities, equipment, and tools for the participating groups to march, perform, and perform art... so that the opening ceremony taking place at 8:00 a.m. on April 8, 2024 at the Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium will be successful and impressive.
After the opening ceremony, the competition of 4 sports that have not been organized yet (athletics, swimming, pole pushing and karate) and many remaining competitions of other sports of the second phase will continue, taking place from April 8 to 12, with about 2,666 athletes participating.
