Maintaining the "form" of a pioneering bank in digital transformation

In May 2024, OCB introduced OCB OMNI 4.0 version, setting a new standard in the digital banking sector in Vietnam in terms of speed and convenience. After only 7 months of launch, the number of transactions on OCB OMNI increased by 74%, CASA increased by 21% and online savings revenue increased by 32% compared to the same period in 2023.

In particular, in 2024, in the journey of "leading bank" implementing Open Banking model, OCB has officially built and operated, reaching the milestone of more than 150 Open APIs, with strong processing performance, an average of more than 6 million transactions/month since the beginning of 2024. According to statistics, up to now, the number of customers connecting Open API at OCB has doubled compared to 2023.

In addition, after more than 1 year of launching to the market, digital bank for young people - Liobank has recorded impressive growth with nearly 500,000 new customers in 2024, of which more than 300,000 customers own physical cards. The total transaction value through Liobank has reached 11 trillion VND, with 8 million transactions made, an increase of 4.2 times compared to 2023, ranking on app stores Liobank reached 4.7+ in the top group of financial applications.

Great strides in sustainable development strategy

It can be said that the pioneering Green Bank in Vietnam is the destination of OCB that was laid down very early and built into an overall strategy with the support of many prestigious international organizations.

In April 2024, OCB and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement, focusing on green banking transformation, improving digital banking services for SMEs and retail customers. This is considered an important step for OCB towards the goal of sustainable development, creating practical values ​​for the bank, customers and the community.

In September 2024, OCB will release the 2023 independent sustainable development report with the theme: "Green Banking Transformation Journey", becoming one of the pioneering banks to build and publish an independent sustainable development report across the system.

In particular, in 2024, OCB implemented a series of programs to promote social security work and share with the community, specifically: Sponsoring the entire cost of building Minh Thanh Secondary School, Tuyen Quang province; Joining hands to support people in the North affected by storm Yagi; Joining the banking industry to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, in which OCB supported 5 billion VND in costs for house construction and repair; Joining the Kien Giang Education Promotion Fund to help disadvantaged students continue to go to school...

In December 2024, OCB also implemented the program "Cleaning houses and contributing trees" to green Xuan Lien forest (Thanh Hoa) through GAIA Nature Conservation Center. Accordingly, 1,065 trees were contributed through internal activities for bank staff, and nearly 400 kg of donated items were also sent to GAIA.

With its relentless efforts, in 2024, OCB reaped many "sweet fruits", affirming its position and capacity when it was continuously honored by prestigious domestic and international organizations such as National Brand voted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Top 25 leading listed brands in 2024 ranked and announced by Forbes Vietnam magazine; Top Most Valuable Brands in Vietnam 2024 announced by Brand Finance with a brand value of 150 million USD, brand strength index of 67.3, ranked AA. Compared to 2023, in 2024, the bank increased its brand value by 20% and its brand strength index (BSI) increased by one rank, equivalent to 14.5 points. At the same time, OCB is also in the top 6 fastest growing in the banking industry.
