Opening the ceremony, Journalist Nguyen Khac Hien - Head of the Representative Office of the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper of the North Central region reviewed the 20-year journey of formation and development, receiving close attention and direction from the Party Committee, Editorial Board, and wholehearted support and assistance from the Party Committees, local authorities, and units of provinces in the North Central region in general, especially Ha Tinh, where the office has been located for the past 20 years.

The Office always closely follows the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the Editorial Board on the orientation of propaganda activities of the Party Committees and provincial authorities, writes and publishes an average of 600 - 650 articles each year on two printed publications, Journalists & Public Opinion, and the online newspaper, Congluan.vn, ensuring accuracy, attractiveness and high orientation, effectively contributing to the stability and development of the provinces in the area.

The topics on socio-economics have many innovations in writing, helping readers understand more deeply about the land, people as well as the socio-economic development of localities and units in the North Central region in general, Ha Tinh in particular, in the period of integration and development. Many investigative reports have resonated, attracting the attention and high consensus of readers, helping authorities have more information to deal with the problem promptly and effectively.

In the past 5 years alone (from 2020 to 2024), the unit has won 19 journalism awards (including 2 works that were shortlisted for the national journalism award, 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 4 C prizes, 10 consolation prizes from the Ministries, Central Committees, and provinces).
