Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Le Tri Ha, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, affirmed: Digital transformation is not only a strategic choice but has become a vital factor for the existence and development of enterprises in the digital age. Enterprises must constantly update, innovate, improve and accept new things to keep up with the trends of the times. Therefore, business leaders need to have breakthrough thinking and long-term strategies for the digital transformation process in all business activities, including management, production, business and participation in the global supply chain.
Recognizing the importance of digital transformation, in recent times, Yen Bai province has made efforts to deploy, build and promulgate mechanisms and policies, accompanying businesses in implementing digital transformation.
Up to now, 100% of enterprises in the province have participated in using electronic tax declaration and payment services; applied business methods through electronic activities and e-commerce at different levels. 100% of enterprises in the province have been informed about policies and programs to support enterprises in digital transformation; over 2,000 enterprises and cooperatives have participated in training to improve awareness and skills in digital transformation...

However, the digital transformation process in enterprises in the province is still relatively slow. According to Ms. Bui Thi Suu - Chairwoman of the Business Association, Director of Hoa Binh Company Limited: "The common difficulties and barriers for small and medium enterprises today are awareness, knowledge, digital skills, digital transformation is a new issue and has not received due attention. Besides, the attention of enterprises on arranging funds for digital transformation in enterprises is still modest and limited". Regarding this issue, Mr. Le Nguyen Truong Giang - Institute of Digital Transformation Strategy said that supporting enterprises in digital transformation is still limited, it does not lie in the cost but in the investment. In the immediate future, the Institute of Digital Transformation will develop a plan to support training for enterprises on digital transformation and access to digital transformation capital. Enterprises must also raise their own internal awareness of the importance of digital transformation in promoting effective production and business.
