The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway section has a total length of 88km, of which 60.3km is in Quang Ngai province and 27.7km is in Binh Dinh province. To ensure progress, contractors are speeding up construction, even working through the night and holidays.

In the package implemented by Deo Ca Group, according to the report of the leading contractor of the joint venture, the project site is implementing 43 construction projects in all three packages XL1, XL2, XL3, with nearly 700 pieces of equipment and more than 1,800 personnel.

Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon Expressway is the route with the most tunnels through mountains on the North – South Expressway. Of which, tunnel 1 is 610m long, tunnel 2 is 700m long. In particular, tunnel 3 is 3,200m long, this will be the third longest tunnel in the country after Hai Van tunnel and Deo Ca tunnel.

Vice Chairman of Deo Ca Group Nguyen Tan Dong said that the contractor is mobilizing human resources and equipment, focusing on the "critical path" of tunnel No. 2. Currently, the contractor is planning the construction, improving the NATM tunneling method to simultaneously deploy 6 construction teams of tunnel No. 2 instead of 4 teams according to the conventional method and is expected to shorten the implementation time 4 months earlier than the approved plan.

Up to now, 6 gates of 3 tunnels on the route have been opened, some tunnel tubes are being constructed deep inside.

Deo Ca Group prioritizes speeding up the construction of the project's "critical" items, which are the tunnel and large bridge items.

With the weather characteristics of the Central region about to enter the rainy and stormy season, speeding up the progress is necessary to be more proactive in completing the project.

Recently, during a field inspection trip of the Quang Ngai-Hoai Nhon Expressway, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Danh Huy visited, encouraged and presented gifts to construction workers at the site. At the same time, he highly appreciated the creativity of Deo Ca Group when proposing a plan of 6 tunnel digging teams to shorten the construction progress.

Up to now, the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway has handed over 75.515/88km of land, reaching 85.8%; of which the section through Quang Ngai has handed over 52.84km/60.3km (reaching 87.6%). Currently, contractors have approached to construct 68.012/88km, reaching 77.3%. The remaining areas that have not been handed over in Quang Ngai province are 7.46km and Binh Dinh province is 5.025km, mainly areas with houses, architectural structures of people who have to be relocated and resettled, and technical infrastructure for power lines.

Up to now, the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway has handed over more than 75.5km/88km of land; of which the section through Quang Ngai has handed over more than 52.8km/60.3km. Currently, contractors have approached to construct about 68km. The remaining land has not been handed over in Quang Ngai province 7.46km and Binh Dinh province 5.025km, mainly areas with houses, architectural structures of people who have to be relocated and resettled, and technical infrastructure for power lines.
