However, the contractor has not yet taken any positive action to accelerate the construction progress of the project items.

Any costs arising from the contractor's delay in implementation will be paid by the contractor,” the Vice Chairman of the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
In addition, checking the progress of other bid packages under the project under the program of developing type II cities (green cities) and the project of improving the water environment of Hue city, due to the site clearance work not being completed, some items cannot be implemented simultaneously with many construction phases as planned. The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien-Hue province requested the People's Committee of Hue city to focus on directing the implementation of site clearance work and commit to the timelines. Relevant units monitor, inspect, supervise, and urge investors and contractors to organize the implementation to ensure the set progress. At the same time, coordinate with units to review and promptly handle problems during the construction process, not affecting the quality and progress of the project.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien-Hue province emphasized that there is not much favorable time left for construction because the weather is about to enter the rainy season. Investors must focus and take advantage of the time from now until the end of September 2023, work overtime, and possibly work at night to speed up progress. During the construction process, attention must be paid to environmental protection, not allowing dust and noise to affect people's lives.
