Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Canh Quang, Director of Binh Duong Company, shared with reporters of the People's Army Newspaper about this content.

Reporter (PV): Could you tell us about the solutions for Binh Duong Company to make a breakthrough in recent years?

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Canh Quang: For 3 consecutive years (2020-2022), Binh Duong Company has completed the assigned rubber latex production output from 40 to 70 days, with productivity ranking at the top of Corps 15 and the Vietnamese rubber industry. In particular, in 2020 it exceeded 22%; in 2021 it exceeded 39.8%; in 2022 it continued to exceed 20%. The average yield reached 2.27 tons of dry latex/ha; many production teams had a yield of more than 3 tons/ha, the area converted from coffee to rubber reached more than 2 tons/ha and the rubber forest also achieved a high yield of 1.8 tons/ha.

To achieve this result, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of Binh Duong Company have made "3 breakthroughs" in human development; garden care and management and technical work. Focus on educating all workers and laborers to be mentally secure, enthusiastic in production, ending the phenomenon of abandoning gardens and scraping; actively practicing skills with more than 92% of workers achieving good and excellent levels. In particular, 100% of officers, employees and laborers agreed to invest in additional fertilizer for the garden with a budget of billions of VND each year. The Company constantly innovates and optimizes production and business processes; applies many advanced management and technical solutions; promotes the Emulation Movement to Win associated with the movements: "Good workers, creative workers", "Practice skills, compete for good workers", "Stay up all night with workers"... to motivate officers, employees and laborers to strive to excellently complete assigned tasks.

Reporter: It is known that the local Party Committee, government and people highly appreciate the contributions of Binh Duong Company. Can you share your opinion on this?

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Canh Quang: The local Party Committee and government, directly by Comrade Dinh Van Dung, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Chu Prong District, have repeatedly affirmed that Binh Duong Company is a positive factor in the socio-economic development, national defense and security of the locality. In fact, in 30 years of construction and development, Binh Duong Company has pioneered in opening up land and opening up many new areas in the border districts of Chu Prong and Duc Co. Implementing many preferential policies to attract local ethnic minorities to work as workers; promoting technology transfer, building infrastructure, supporting seedlings, livestock, farming techniques, and product consumption so that people can escape poverty and become rich. Currently, the Company is creating jobs for nearly 1,000 people and hundreds of people doing other supporting jobs with a stable income of 8 to 12 million VND/person/month. Many families supported by the Company to develop their economy have an income outside of their salary of more than 120 million VND/year, build spacious houses, buy means of production, and have comfortable living conditions...

Binh Duong Company also actively supports the locality in implementing 3 national target programs: New rural construction; sustainable poverty reduction; socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas. In 2022 alone, the Company invested more than 6.8 billion VND and hundreds of working days to repair and upgrade a number of internal roads, serving production and people's lives in Ia Tor commune, Ia Puch commune (Chu Prong district); donated 33 breeding cows to 33 households in Ia Tor commune, Ia O commune (Chu Prong district) with a cost of more than 681 million VND. Supported workers and people in difficult circumstances in the area during the crop gap with an amount of 350 million VND...

PV: In the field of defense and security, what contributions has Binh Duong Company made, comrade?

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Canh Quang: Binh Duong Company is located and performs its duties in an area with 42km of border adjacent to Cambodia, where the political security and social order and safety situation still has potential complex factors. In recent years, the Company has closely coordinated with forces according to Decree No. 03/2019/ND-CP dated September 5, 2019 of the Government, advising Party committees and authorities at all levels to effectively handle situations related to national defense and security, maintaining political security and social order and safety in the area.

With the motto "Developing and expanding production to where, attracting labor and building residential areas to where", Binh Duong Company has built 10 residential areas with 914 households, 2,712 people for ethnic minorities, along with a relatively synchronous infrastructure system: Electricity, roads, schools, stations..., creating conditions for people to develop the economy, culture and society. Residential clusters and points are built according to the defense zone planning, in peacetime, each resident and worker is a living landmark at the border fence. When there is a situation, it combines with local forces and armed forces units to form a continuous defense position to firmly protect the sovereignty and border security of the Fatherland.

Along with that, the organization established twinning relationships between the Company's agencies and production teams with 12 ethnic minority villages in the area. Implemented many "Smart Mass Mobilization" models, especially the "Household Connection" model with 73 pairs of households. Thereby, it not only helped hundreds of households escape poverty sustainably, build happy families but also contributed to strengthening the great national unity bloc, mobilizing people's strength to firmly build the national defense and security posture at the border fence.
