The striker from Tra Vinh revealed that this is the scarf that she has always carried with her since she went to Portugal to compete. This time, Huynh Nhu believes that the scarf will continue to bring good luck to the Vietnamese women's team.
Huynh Nhu said: "I always carry this scarf with me, since I went to Portugal to compete. I bought this scarf, it wasn't given to me."
In addition to the scarf, Huynh Nhu also always carries a speaker to listen to music. The main striker of the Vietnamese women's team loves to sing.
Huynh Nhu shared when wearing a beautiful vest to go to the 2023 World Cup: "Regarding my luggage, I have my own preparations. Today we look quite strange wearing vests. Actually, everyone is very excited to wear this outfit."
Before that, at the departure ceremony, Huynh Nhu shared very emotionally: "This is not only my dream but also the dream of the whole team, the female players and Vietnamese football fans.
When winning a ticket to the World Cup, the whole team continued to practice seriously because they knew that glory comes with responsibility. This is the most wonderful and happiest thing that Vietnamese women's football has done.
Thank you to the female players from your time, older sisters and now you, from the most difficult times until today, who have brought Vietnamese women's football to the world.
Every journey is difficult and full of challenges, but women's football has now received the attention of the Board of Directors and fans. I promise to do my best to bring the best things to Vietnamese fans."
Meanwhile, coach Mai Duc Chung said: "Last time I had the opportunity to go to New Zealand. But this time is definitely different. Because the national anthem of Vietnam will be played at the World Cup, a prestigious tournament. That is definitely a source of pride for the whole team."
In New Zealand, the Vietnamese women's team will play two friendly matches against host New Zealand (July 10) and Spain (July 14) before officially participating in the tournament.
