The workshop attracted the participation of many leaders, lecturers and officials of departments and offices of the Provincial Political School, to discuss in depth the theoretical and practical values of the book, and propose specific solutions for application in teaching and research in Quang Nam.
The reports focused on analyzing aspects of the diplomatic ideology of “Vietnam’s bamboo tree”, emphasizing the flexibility and resilience in Vietnam’s foreign affairs; proposing many solutions to integrate these ideas into the curriculum to improve the quality of training of “both red and expert” foreign affairs cadres.
Through discussion, opinions all emphasized that, stemming from national interests and the correct leadership of the Party, Vietnam has increasingly achieved outstanding achievements in diplomacy, thanks to diverse measures and behaviors, and rich foreign policy schools. These achievements have made important contributions to the cause of national construction and defense; at the same time, attracting the attention and recognition of international politicians, researchers and media.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Khue - Vice Principal of the Provincial Political School (chair of the workshop), the diplomatic ideology of "Vietnamese bamboo" is both soft and flexible but resilient and steadfast, which has become the guiding principle for the country's foreign affairs activities.
Organizing the workshop not only helps the school affirm the value of this ideology but is also an important step in effectively applying it to teaching and research practices, creating a premise for training a team of "both red and professional" cadres for Quang Nam.
