(Dan Tri) - Although it has not confirmed its role in the attacks deep into Russian territory, Ukraine claims to possess drones capable of carrying out attacks up to 2,000km away.

"We can say this is no longer a secret: Ukrainian UAVs can operate at a distance of up to 2,000km," Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Agency spokesman Andrii Yusov said on December 27.
"In most other cases, we neither confirm nor deny. I can only say that the explosions have a reason," Yusov added, referring to mysterious explosions in Russian territory.
Although Ukraine does not always comment officially on UAV attacks in Russia, Ukrainian UAVs are said to have struck targets more than 1,000km from the front line.
Mr. Yusov further stressed that all Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory were aimed at military and industrial facilities, rather than civilian infrastructure.
Ukraine has recently been promoting the development of jet-powered UAVs that could serve as an alternative to cruise missiles. This year, Ukraine has introduced two such UAVs, the Palianytsia and the Peklo.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine aims to produce at least 30,000 long-range UAVs next year.
