Exchange rate today January 24: Foreign currency prices record opposite trends

DNVN - Mixed fluctuations were recorded in the exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and the US Dollar (USD) and the Chinese Yuan (CNY) on January 24 at banks.

Foreign exchange prices on January 22, 2025: In contrast to gold prices, USD fell sharply to the 107 mark

Specifically, the State Bank this morning announced the central exchange rate decreased by 3 VND compared to January 23, currently at 24,325 VND/USD. With a fluctuation range of +/-5%, the ceiling exchange rate today is determined to be 25,541 VND/USD, while the floor rate is 23,109 VND/USD. The reference exchange rate at the State Bank's transaction office remains unchanged, continuing to be maintained at 23,400 - 25,450 VND/USD (buy - sell).

At the commercial banking system, at 8:17 this morning, both Vietcombank and BIDV simultaneously listed the USD exchange rate at 24,960 - 25,320 VND/USD (buy - sell). Compared to the early morning of January 23, the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank increased by 40 VND in both directions, while at BIDV, the increase was 65 VND.

For CNY, Vietcombank is currently applying the buying and selling prices of 3,395 - 3,504 VND/CNY, down 2 VND compared to yesterday morning. On the other hand, at BIDV, the CNY buying rate increased by 2 VND, the selling price increased by 1 VND, currently listed at 3,412 - 3,516 VND/CNY (buying - selling).
