Player Bui Hoang Viet Anh hospitalized for emergency treatment

In the 7th minute of the match between The Cong Viettel and Cong An Ha Noi Club in round 13 of V-League 2023-2024, central defender Bui Hoang Viet Anh of Cong An Ha Noi had a collision with a player of The Cong Viettel. He was bleeding from the mouth and was treated by doctors.

However, due to the severe tear, Viet Anh was then carried off the field for the doctors to bandage. He continued playing but due to the pain and dizziness from blood loss, he was forced to leave the field and get into an ambulance to be taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Compared to Tuan Hai, Bui Hoang Viet Anh's injury is not as serious, but he will need a week to heal and will need 24 stitches. This also means that the Hanoi Police midfielder may miss the two matches between Vietnam and Indonesia in the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Previously, striker Tuan Hai suffered a serious injury when Quang Nam player Tang Tien kicked him straight in the shin with his boot. To get the most accurate assessment of the extent of the injury, on the morning of March 9, Pham Tuan Hai was taken for a comprehensive check-up once again.

Accordingly, the 26-year-old striker has an injury to his right ankle and needs to rest for at least a month before returning to competition. This is a huge loss not only for the capital team on their journey back to the championship race but also for the Vietnamese team.
