Participating in this year's exam are 68 high schools in the Central Highlands region and the Southern provinces with 2,575 students taking the exam in 10 subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, French for students in grades 10 and 11.
Hung Vuong Gia Lai High School for the Gifted had 54 students participating in the competition in all subjects (except French). As a result, the team won 48 medals, including 8 gold medals, 21 silver medals and 19 bronze medals. The 8 gold medals were awarded to the following students: Dang Xuan Phat, class 10C3A (Math); Le Vu Hoang Long, class 11C3A (Physics); Nguyen Quoc Dung, class 11C5A (Chemistry); Huynh Phan Thanh Thao, class 11C3B (Biology); Nguyen Dang Khang, class 10C3A (Informatics); Pham Uyen Nhi, class 10C1 (Literature); Nguyen Thien Nhan, class 10C7 (History); Le Phuong Nghi, class 11C2A (Geography).

The 30-4 Traditional Olympic Competition was founded by Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Ho Chi Minh City) in 1995 with the aim of discovering and nurturing talented students in grades 10 and 11, preparing teams for the national excellent student competition, creating conditions for exchanges and learning between excellent students and professional exchanges between teachers of specialized classes in the provinces of the Central Highlands and the South.
