This year, Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted received 6,113 candidates registering for the exam (an increase of 636 candidates compared to last year). The average competition ratio for grades 1/19.4.
The school enrolls 315 students in the 10th grade specialized program, including Math, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature and English. The English specialized class has the most applicants - 2,049, an increase of 120 students compared to last year. With a total quota of 70 students, the competition ratio of this specialized class is up to 1/29.3, the highest among the 7 specialized classes.
Next is the Literature class with 998 candidates registered for the exam, a competition ratio of 1/28.5. With a quota of 35 students and 356 candidates registered for the exam, the Biology class has the lowest competition ratio (1/10.2). Previously, Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted announced the list of 34 students admitted directly. Of which, 7 students were admitted to the Math specialized class; 4 students to the IT specialized class; 4 students to the Physics specialized class; 4 students to the Chemistry specialized class; 4 students to the Biology specialized class; 4 students to the Literature specialized class and 7 students to the English specialized class.
The entrance exam for grade 10 at the National University of Education High School will take place on June 1. Candidates must take three subjects, including Math (coefficient 1) and Literature (coefficient 1) in 90 minutes on the morning of June 1.
On the afternoon of June 1, candidates continued to take the specialized subject exam (coefficient 2) with a time limit of 120 minutes. Candidates will be included in the admission list when they take all 3 exams, do not violate exam regulations and have a score greater than 2.
