Accordingly, after swimming in the sea, people and tourists can go to these pillars to take a fresh water shower before returning home or to their accommodation.
The freshwater fountains were constructed on the land of 5/9 tourism businesses that have handed over the land to Vung Tau City to clear and dismantle the illegal and unlicensed constructions as reported by Thanh Nien Newspaper.
Speaking to Thanh Nien reporter on April 28, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Vice Chairman of Vung Tau City People's Committee, said that after the businesses handed over the premises, the city quickly mobilized workers and vehicles to clean up and dismantle illegal constructions, creating a clean site.
"Vung Tau City strictly prohibits individuals and businesses from operating food and beverage services and umbrellas in the Bai Sau beach area that the city has just cleared. This is a public beach serving residents and tourists," said Ms. Huong.
Each fresh water column serves 4 people bathing at the same time.
According to Ms. Huong, the bathrooms and toilets of businesses that hand over their premises to the city will be handed over to the competent unit to continue managing and serving tourists, but will be charged a fee. This amount is to pay the cleaning staff. The fresh water showers installed by the city will be free for residents and tourists.
Vung Tau City also posted notices on fresh water fountains stating that residents and tourists are not allowed to use soap or shampoo to bathe at these fountains.
Previously, Vung Tau City also installed many fresh water showers along Bai Truoc beach to serve residents and tourists for free.
