According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, to achieve the above results on the occasion of National Day September 2 this year, the Department has deployed to tourist accommodation establishments and tourism businesses to implement measures to ensure security and safety for tourists, improve the quality of tourism services. Along with that are the efforts of the People's Committee of Thu Duc City, the People's Committees of 21 districts and tourism businesses, tourist accommodation establishments, tourist areas and attractions, and activities during the September 2 holiday.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism believes that the long holiday is an important factor in increasing the number of tourists to the city. The main target customers during this holiday are groups of families and friends who have not yet arranged their summer travel time, with the majority of visitors organizing their own domestic travel.
Many travel companies have seized this opportunity, launching attractive and diverse tourism products in Ho Chi Minh City and linking with neighboring localities. Traditional tourism products, eco-tourism, community tourism, and luxury resorts have attracted the attention of tourists.
Some prominent tourist attractions such as the Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Site have reduced 30% of entrance fees for group visitors (with conditions attached) and organized exhibition programs, displaying historical and cultural artifacts, along with folk art performances typical of the S'Tieng ethnic group and reenacting the Crac Bar Mey Festival (celebrating new rice). Saigon Skydeck - Bitexco Financial Tower Observatory opens the Vietnamese Ao Dai Museum for free.
These are remarkable efforts of the units in creating unique experiences, attracting tourists to Ho Chi Minh City during the National Day holiday on September 2.
