From February to mid-April, the Ho Chi Minh City health sector plans to inaugurate and put into operation 6 large hospital projects, contributing to reducing pressure on current treatment areas.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has just submitted to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee 6 key projects of the health sector expected to be inaugurated in 2023.
Among them, two projects were inaugurated on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955), namely People's Hospital 115 (high-tech diagnostic building block) scheduled to be inaugurated on February 17 and Nguyen Trai Hospital (Surgery building block) inaugurated on February 21.
Three projects are expected to be inaugurated to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975) including: Oncology Hospital, Facility 2; Rehabilitation Hospital - Occupational Disease Treatment; Forensic Center is expected to be inaugurated in mid-April.
Children's Hospital 1 (neonatal center, other specialties and surgical treatment) is expected to be inaugurated on June 1.
Currently, the city also has many other hospital projects inaugurated and under construction such as Gia Dinh People's Hospital, Binh Dan Hospital, and Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital.
The Ho Chi Minh City health sector aims to invest in, upgrade, and build 146 new health stations in wards and communes in the area; at the same time, operate the entire infrastructure of the Oncology Hospital, Facility 2, to help resolve the overload situation for decades at Facility 1 of this hospital.
