On the morning of February 19, the Standing Committee of the Ha Long City Party Committee worked with construction units and contractors to listen to progress reports and remove obstacles and difficulties in implementing a number of key public investment projects in the area, aiming to complete the city's growth target of 18.8% in 2025. Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, chaired.
Ha Long City is currently implementing over 100 public investment projects, including 4 key projects facing difficulties in site clearance, land resources and public roads, including: Project to build technical infrastructure for the provincial general hospital and high-quality medical and educational facilities in the area of Nam Cau Trang, Hong Ha ward and Ha Tu ward; Project to connect Provincial Road 342 to National Highway 279 through the center of Son Duong commune; Project to connect National Highway 18A, Hong Hai ward (Bui Thi Xuan street section) with Provincial Road 336, Ha Lam ward; Project to connect the road along the ditch, on the left side of the route from K67 bridge, Ha Khanh ward, through Nuoc Man bridge to road 336, Ha Lam ward.
With the determination to accelerate the progress of public investment projects, as a driving force to attract investment, and actively contribute to local growth, at the meeting, the city's specialized agencies committed to completing the site clearance work for all four above projects in the first quarter of 2025; at the same time, ensuring the source of land for embankment and public roads for contractors to shorten the construction progress of the projects by 30% compared to the plan in accordance with the direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.
With the motto that the city will always accompany businesses, Comrade Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee Vu Quyet Tien requested the city's agencies, departments and units to focus on closely following and removing difficulties in mechanisms and policies under their authority; coordinate to quickly and effectively resolve administrative procedures; promptly remove difficulties and obstacles so that contractors can speed up the construction progress of projects.
To improve the quality of management and implementation of projects, he requested the City People's Committee to immediately establish a working group directly led by Mr. Vu Ngoc Lam, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; to focus highly in the first quarter of 2025 on resolving difficulties and problems related to site clearance for projects.
The City Party Secretary also requested construction units to strictly implement legal regulations and the contents committed to investors; especially regarding construction progress. The city will resolutely handle contractors who do not ensure the committed progress.
