This is a real shock for Tottenham as they are showing impressive form and are the only unbeaten team before this match, while The Blues are playing inconsistently.
However, the result reflected what happened on the pitch in a tense and dramatic London derby with 5 goals, two red cards, 4 goal disallowed, a hat-trick.
The match became exciting right from the opening whistle when Tottenham took the initiative to attack and soon broke the balance with Dejan Kulusevski's opening goal 1-0.
In the sixth minute, the home team had a quick attack before Kulusevski's shot hit defender Levi Colwill and changed direction, leaving goalkeeper Robert Sanchez helpless.
After Spurs' goal, the match continued to be exciting with an unbelievable scenario. The referee continuously denied goals after finishing situations of players from both sides.
In the 13th minute, Son Heung Min rushed in to score against Chelsea after a cross from his teammate, but the goal was disallowed due to offside.
In the 21st minute, Raheem Sterling put the ball into Tottenham's goal from close range but VAR denied it when it determined that the striker wearing the number 7 shirt had let the ball touch his hand before.
Just 7 minutes later, Moises Caicedo shot from a distance into Tottenham's net, but after consulting VAR, referee Michael Oliver disallowed the goal because he determined that Jackson was offside and blocking the view of goalkeeper Vicario.
However, the referee then decided to give Cristian Romero a straight red card for a dangerous tackle on Enzo Fernandez in the penalty area and also awarded The Blues a penalty.
On the 11m mark, Cole Palmer made no mistake to score the equalizer 1-1 for the away team.
The match became more tense at the beginning of the second half when Tottenham were reduced to nine men on the field with Destiny Udogie receiving a second yellow card after a foul on Sterling.
Playing with two men less, Tottenham could only defend against Chelsea's continuous attacks but could not hold out.
In the 75th minute, Sterling broke the offside trap before making a convenient cross for Jackson to easily tap the ball into Tottenham's net, raising the score to 2-1.
Tottenham immediately responded with a decisive shot from Eric Dier that hit the roof of the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
In the remaining time, Tottenham fought back with the hope of scoring an equalizer and maintaining their unbeaten streak since the beginning of the season. However, with fewer players, coach Ange Postecoglou's team could not create a surprise against their opponents.
Even in the extra minutes, Nicolas Jackson shone with two goals in the 90+4 and 90+7 minutes, bringing the final victory 4-1 to The Blues.
With this result, Tottenham not only broke their unbeaten streak since the beginning of the season but also lost the top spot in the Premier League to Man City. After 11 rounds, Tottenham has 26 points, one point less than defending champion Man City.
In the series of matches that took place last weekend, Man City played brilliantly and easily crushed AFC Bournemouth 6-1 at home at Etihad Stadium. Midfielder Jeremy Doku had a brilliant day of play, contributing greatly to help Man City "sow sorrow" for the opponent.
Jeremy Doku broke the deadlock with the opening goal in the 30th minute, before providing four assists for Bernardo Silva (2 goals), Manuel Akanji and Phil Foden to score. The defending champions' remaining goal was scored by defender Nathan Ake after an assist from Oscar Bobb.
On the other side of the front line, Tottenham's victory on the field helped Chelsea end a streak of two consecutive matches without a win (draw with Arsenal and loss to Brentford) in the highest arena in England.
This result helps coach Mauricio Pochettino and his team gain 15 points, to rise to 10th place in the Premier League rankings.
