Below are sample letter writing articles for the 54th UPU introduced by VietNamNet newspaper.
Every year, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) organizes an international letter-writing competition for children, aiming to develop their writing skills and enrich their creative thinking.
The contest aims to help children approach and perceive social and contemporary issues and express their thoughts on these issues; foster and nurture the feelings and responsibilities of the young generation towards society, the country and the world. In addition, the contest helps children understand more about the role of the Postal Service in life and social development.
In 2025, the UPU international letter writing competition has the theme: “Imagine you are the ocean. Write a letter to someone, explaining why and how they should take good care of you and protect you.”
