Le Hoang Phuong was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 on the evening of August 27 in Ho Chi Minh City. This result received the approval of the beauty-loving community because the 28-year-old beauty was considered an outstanding candidate in both appearance and performance skills and experience since the first days of participating in this contest. Because Le Hoang Phuong is no longer a stranger to the beauty-loving community as she is an "old person" who participated in the Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 and 2022 contests. Notably, at the Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 contest, Le Hoang Phuong stopped at the Top 5 finalists along with the Best Catwalk award.

The Khanh Hoa-born beauty graduated from the Architecture Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). Currently, Le Hoang Phuong is the founder and CEO of an architectural company. She is 1.76m tall with sexy measurements of 87-63-95cm.

Dan Viet reporter had a conversation with the new Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 Le Hoang Phuong about her journey to conquer the Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 crown as well as her preparation for the Miss Grand International contest to be held in Vietnam this coming October.

Miss Le Hoang Phuong: "I am lucky to touch my dream"

After 4 years of hard work in the Miss pageant, success has smiled on Le Hoang Phuong when she became the owner of the Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 crown. According to Phuong, is this sweet fruit coming too late or just right compared to the effort and waiting since you started competing in Miss Universe Vietnam 2019?

- For me, success is never too late, as long as I can achieve the goals I set. I am truly happy that my crown dream has come true. As I have shared many times, Miss Grand Vietnam is also the last domestic beauty contest I have participated in. Therefore, I have cultivated a lot, constantly strived and tried to reach that dream.

Many people shared that, in addition to winning the Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 crown, Le Hoang Phuong also broke a series of "curses": Being a fake Miss crowned for real, crowned at the age of 28... What pressure did Phuong have or how did she prepare to participate in this contest that many people don't know?

- My biggest difficulty is probably… practicing synchronized dancing. Every time I dance on beat and know the song, everyone around me is very happy (laughs). I'm just joking. Actually, any girl who comes to the Miss Grand Vietnam contest will have to face her own difficulties and pressures, not just me. But fortunately, when I achieved my goal and touched my dream, I felt that the difficulties and pressures I experienced were no longer a big problem.

Is 1st Runner-up Bui Khanh Linh the girl you want to hold hands with the most in the Top 2 of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 or is it another beauty?

- When I was a contestant, I thought that any girl could be in the Top 2 position, because each girl has her own strengths and efforts. So I didn't think about which girl would hold my hand if I was in the Top 2 or who deserved more than who. At that moment, I didn't think much because I just focused on listening to the results.

So in the moment of coronation, many people called Le Hoang Phuong's name, did it bring you any special and unforgettable feelings?

- At that moment, my emotions seemed to explode. Even now, many days have passed, but I still feel emotional every time I remember.

There have been many successful Misses and Runners-up in their careers and lives. Who is the person that Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 Le Hoang Phuong admires the most?

- I realize that the measure of success is different for everyone. The Misses and Runners-up that I know all have their own successes in many different fields. Around me, there are many successful and talented people that I admire and want to learn from. Looking at those who have gone before me also helps me accumulate more experience and lessons so that I can be more confident on the path to conquering my own goals.

Regarding personality, what does Miss Le Hoang Phuong see in herself and what does she want people to see in her?

- In addition to her perseverance in the beauty contest, I also want everyone to see Le Hoang Phuong as a girl who is persistent with her career and work, and persistent with her studies.

Miss Le Hoang Phuong reveals her goal at Miss Grand International 2023

With 1 month to prepare for Miss Grand International 2023, what is Miss Le Hoang Phuong's goal and ranking at the contest? Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien was crowned Miss Grand International 2021, Doan Thien An stopped at the Top 20 Miss Grand International 2022?

- Currently, my immediate goal is to enter the Top 5 of Miss Grand International 2023. To prepare for the upcoming journey, my team and I have prepared a plan for costumes, a plan to practice important skills, a training regimen for a firmer appearance... I will try my best to achieve the best results when wearing the Vietnamese flag.

Currently, many contestants at Miss Grand International 2023 have been revealed, among which, Thai contestants are always "compared" with Vietnam in this contest. Who does Miss Le Hoang Phuong see as her strongest opponent at Miss Grand International this year?

- The representatives coming to Miss Grand International 2023 are definitely girls with outstanding appearance and many strengths. Anyone can win. Instead of being afraid or wary of other representatives, I think I should focus more on myself to always perform well in the competition, not having a moment of negligence.

What is Miss Le Hoang Phuong's strongest "weapon" at the upcoming Miss Grand International 2023?

- I think that, besides my own efforts, the strongest "weapon" I have is the love and support of my family, friends, colleagues and audience. Those things have helped me to be persistent, persevering and not give up no matter what difficulties I encounter.
