TTH.VN - "The friendship between patriot Phan Boi Chau - Doctor Asaba Sakitaro and the Vietnam - Japan friendship" is the theme of the thematic exhibition that was just opened to the public on the morning of July 14 at the Phan Boi Chau Memorial Site (No. 119, Phan Boi Chau Street, Hue City).
The exhibition is organized by the Provincial History Museum in coordination with Nghe An Museum, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations (1973 - 2023) and the 118th anniversary of the launch of the Dong Du movement (1905 - 2023).
Here, the public can see nearly 70 precious images and documents revolving around two topics: "Friendship between Phan Boi Chau and doctor Asaba Sakitaro of the Dong Du movement" and "Friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan".
On Nguyen Duc Loc, Director of the Provincial History Museum, said that this is an activity to commemorate and pay tribute to patriot Phan Boi Chau, a man who devoted his whole life to the cause of patriotic struggle against French colonialism of the Vietnamese people in the 20th century. Thereby, continuing to propagate, promote, preserve and develop the value of the Phan Boi Chau memorial site, contributing to promoting the education of patriotic traditions, revolutionary struggle, and enhancing national pride among the people. At the same time, consolidating and developing the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
Mr. Loc also said that in the coming time, he will cooperate with the Department of Education and Training, the Historical Science Association, the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of the province and strengthen cooperation with the Phan Boi Chau Memorial Site in Nghe An, Nghe An Museum, to promote propaganda and tourism development.
The exhibition is open until July 20.
