Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien affirmed that the Party, Government and Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam always attach importance to the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea; at the same time, he said that comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and two countries is the premise and foundation for the two sides to promote bilateral defense cooperation to continuously expand, deepen, and increasingly achieve practical results.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien emphasized that, despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, defense cooperation between the two countries has maintained a positive development momentum and always promoted its pivotal role in the Vietnam-DPRK relationship, achieving positive results in a number of areas such as: Exchanges, contacts, training, Party work, political work, etc.

Also at the reception, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien highly appreciated the efforts of Colonel Kim Myong Chol in promoting cooperation between the two armies in recent times; believed that Colonel Kim Myong Chol would continue to make many positive contributions to promoting the relationship between the two countries and the two armies to develop further, go into depth, achieve practical results, focusing on areas such as: Strengthening exchanges and delegation exchanges at all levels; continuing to effectively implement signed contents; exchanging experiences in the fields of Party work, political work; expanding cooperation in training, culture, arts and military sports, exchanges of young officers, military medicine; actively exchanging and seeking new cooperation contents suitable to the needs of each side.
