Prime Minister proposes reopening Warsaw - Hanoi flight route

Proposing to reopen flights to Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hopes that LOT can be an extension of Vietnam Airlines in Central and Eastern Europe, and Vietnam Airlines can be an extension of LOT in Southeast Asia.
During his official visit to Poland, on the morning of January 17 (local time), in Warsaw, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Michal Fijol - Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of LOT Airlines of Poland and Ms. Malgorzata Adamkiewicz, Chairwoman of Adamed Group.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the proposals of LOT Group regarding the resumption of operations in the Vietnamese market, affirming that this has not encountered any obstacles. Currently, Vietnam is building new airports such as Long Thanh airport and expanding Tan Son Nhat, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang airports, etc. The Prime Minister said that he will assign Vietnamese agencies to immediately handle LOT's proposals according to regulations. Previously, sharing with the Prime Minister, Mr. Michal Fijol said that in 2010, LOT opened a new route from Warsaw to Hanoi and achieved many successes. However, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, this route temporarily stopped operating since 2020. Now the situation has returned to normal and with a history of good cooperation with Vietnam, LOT is interested in restoring business relations with Vietnam, specifically re-operating the Warsaw - Hanoi route. According to Mr. Michal Fijol, the airline is also operating charter flights between Warsaw and Phu Quoc and in 2024 alone, it brought 15,000 Polish tourists to Vietnam. Proposing that LOT take the lead in reopening flights to Vietnam and continue to cooperate with Vietnam Airlines to operate flights, including charter flights, bringing tourists to famous tourist destinations in Vietnam, the Prime Minister said that LOT could be an extension of Vietnam Airlines in Central and Eastern Europe, while Vietnam Airlines is an extension of LOT in Southeast Asia. The Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government is committed to always creating favorable conditions, in accordance with the provisions of the law , for the group in particular and Polish investors in general to invest and do business effectively and sustainably, in accordance with the provisions of the law in Vietnam.
Expanding investment and transferring pharmaceutical technology to Vietnam

In particular, according to the Prime Minister, Adamed needs to take full advantage of the 17 FTAs that Vietnam has signed with more than 60 major markets in the world, including European countries. The Prime Minister hopes that, along with improving quality and reducing product costs, Adamed needs to build and promote its brand more strongly, so that Adamed's products in general and Adamed Vietnam (Davipharm) in particular can reach more consumers. He also suggested that Adamed expand investment and technology transfer to Vietnam and that the Vietnamese Government will create the best conditions and remove any obstacles so that the group can develop smoothly and effectively in Vietnam.
