This is the first time the contest has been held, for youth leaders in high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education centers in the area. |
Based on the content of knowledge and expertise, the Organizing Committee created contests with new content and formats, close to generation Z; applying technology in the rounds. |
Instead of paper knowledge rounds, Gen Z leaders compete in knowledge about the history of the Union, historical knowledge, culture - society... on smartphones through scanning QR codes. |
In addition, the contestants also went through youth skills competitions such as: receiving and transmitting Morse code signals, Semaphore, knots, marking paths, decoding secret messages... as well as folk dance competitions, youth group singing and dancing, physical games, team building... |
The playground is an opportunity for Gen Z leaders to exchange, learn, and consolidate knowledge, expertise, and skills in youth union work and school youth movements. |
According to Mr. Le Cong Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union, Gen Z faces many opportunities to "stand on the shoulders of giants" to develop themselves, becoming role models of a new generation of comprehensively developed youth to confidently integrate. |
However, this generation also faces many challenges that require a strong character, soft skills, and more social practice skills. |
“Gen Z leaders not only revolve around traditional Union skills but also have many activities to support school Union officials in developing new social practice skills to serve the building of personal luggage, as well as contribute to the development of the Union organization at the grassroots level with a proactive, positive, creative spirit, daring to commit to maturity,” said Mr. Hung. |
Through the skill rounds, the 10 contestants with the highest scores competed in the debate on current school and social issues from the perspective of “Support” and “Dissupport”. At the same time, the leaders presented good initiatives, ideas, and models in the work of the Youth Union and the school youth movement. |
The Organizing Committee awarded one First Prize, one Second Prize, two Third Prizes and three Consolation Prizes to the entire delegation to the district and county Youth Union units; awarded Certificates of Merit and trophies to the Top 10 best contestants and awarded Certificates to 70 contestants who participated well in the contest's contents. |
