Turkish officials said on Friday that security forces traced the suspects to a storage facility in Istanbul's Kagithane district.
There, they seized a large amount of counterfeit $100 bills intended to be sent to African countries.

The suspects' homes were searched and their cash and jewelry were seized.
The consulates of Sweden and Ghana, countries where suspects are involved in the case, have been informed of the incident.
Turkish officials said this was the largest counterfeit money haul in the country's history.
