Located next to the Ma River, Quy Loc town (formerly Quy Loc commune), Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province, is considered a locality with a beautiful, well-planned chessboard shape. According to information from Yen Dinh District Party Committee, the chessboard planning in Quy Loc was carried out from late 1975 to early 1976. Previously, Quy Loc residents mainly lived in the area outside the Ma River dike. After the planning was implemented, people voluntarily relocated and moved to live in a concentrated area, forming the Quy Loc residential area today. Quy Loc town has an area of 13.56km2 with more than 15,000 people living. The roads in the residential area are planned straight, divided into squares like a chessboard.
Seen from above, the entire town of Quy Loc has no winding roads or alleys. Along the center of the commune are the main roads and small roads running straight across, forming a modern planning structure.
At the end of the main road is a residential area, surrounded by limestone mountains. A magnificent mansion in the middle of a residential area in Quy Loc town. The entrance gates to cultural residential areas in Quy Loc town are beautifully designed with blue stone material. Thanks to beautiful and methodical planning, in 2013, Quy Loc became a locality meeting new rural standards of Yen Dinh district. In recent years, besides expanding the development of the industrial economy, many local people are still attached to agriculture. Quy Loc Town, Yen Dinh District, Thanh Hoa (Photo: Google Maps).
