Thai Binh has a new 51-year-old provincial chairman

(NLDO) - Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, born in 1974, Deputy Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

On the afternoon of January 15, at the meeting to resolve urgent matters of the 17th Thai Binh Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, with 100% of delegates agreeing, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Previously, on January 14, the Central Organizing Committee announced the decision of the Central Party Secretariat to transfer, rotate, and appoint Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, member of the 13th Central Inspection Commission, to join the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the meeting, the People's Council of Thai Binh province dismissed Mr. Nguyen Khac Than from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee because the Politburo approved his appointment as Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, the new Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung said he was honored to be assigned by the Central Government to take up the task in a land rich in cultural identity, the homeland of revolutionary movements, especially in recent years, the province has made a breakthrough in socio-economic development, attracting large FDI projects.

Mr. Hung said that he himself does not have much practical experience in the locality, so he hopes that the Party Committee, government and people in the province will do their utmost to help, support and accompany, and unite to build Thai Binh into a fairly developed province in the region.

In the coming time, in his new position, the new Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee said that he will make efforts, be dedicated, and have the highest sense of responsibility. Accordingly, he will proactively grasp the actual situation at the grassroots level, be close to and listen to the voices of the people.

Taking on the task in the early days of 2025, the year ending the term of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, the new Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee determined that this is an extremely heavy responsibility. To complete the set targets and plans, he himself promised to strictly follow the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council; closely follow the Resolution of the Party Congress and put himself in the collective.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung (born in 1974, from Hanoi) is a bachelor of the University of Commerce, with a high level of political theory. Mr. Hung used to work at the Central Inspection Committee with the following positions: Deputy Director of the Financial Inspection Department, Deputy Director of the General Economic Department, Deputy Director of the Central Department 1, Director of the Financial Inspection Department, Director of the Central Department 1.

From March 2023 to present, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung has held the position of Member of the Central Inspection Commission.
