The sponsor increases the prize value by 25% for the champion and doubles it for the second and third prizes.
The 23rd Road to Olympia Final took place on October 8, full of drama after 52 weekly, monthly and quarterly competitions. In the final result, contestant Le Xuan Manh (Ham Rong High School, Thanh Hoa) won the First Prize. The representative of the main sponsor of the program, Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thaco attended and presented the award.
This year, Thaco increased the prizes for the winning contestants. Accordingly, the champion of Road to Olympia received a prize worth 50,000 USD (an increase of 25%). All prizes for the second and third prize winners were also doubled compared to last year.
Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Chairman of Thaco Board of Directors (wearing glasses, standing on the right) presented awards to the winning contestants.
Sharing his feelings after the final match, champion Xuan Manh said that after two rounds of competition, his score was still at an average level but he never thought he had no chance of winning. In the Finish round, he used the star of hope for the last question and rose to the top to win.
"I am very proud to represent my hometown and become the first 'climber' to bring laurel wreath to Thanh Hoa province," said Xuan Manh.
The second prize of the contest went to Nguyen Trong Thanh (Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong) with a prize of 200 million VND and the third prize went to two contestants Nguyen Viet Thanh (Soc Son High School, Hanoi) and Nguyen Minh Triet (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, Thua Thien - Hue province) with a prize of 100 million VND.
Thaco donated cash through VTV to help students have the conditions to continue studying in a university environment to develop their abilities, conquer their dreams, and strive to become useful people in the future.
The Road to Olympia program began broadcasting on VTV3 in 1999 and is VTV’s oldest television program. The program has affirmed its position as a useful and interesting program for high school students across the country.
