Many strong businesses

Up to now, in Nui Thanh district, there are 5 industrial parks (IPs) and 3 industrial clusters. The "leading bird" of industry in Nui Thanh is Truong Hai Group Corporation (THACO). Right after the launching ceremony of the year of At Ty, THACO held the inauguration ceremony of the 50,000-ton wharf, Chu Lai international port.

Chu Lai International Port is a class 1 seaport according to the master plan for the development of Vietnam's seaport system for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister.

The 50,000-ton wharf or completed wharf No. 2 is a 365m extension downstream, connecting to wharf No. 1, increasing the total length of Chu Lai port to 836m, with a depth of minus 11.6m in front of the wharf. With synchronous investment in infrastructure and equipment, THACO has increased its loading and unloading capacity to nearly 100 containers/hour (3 times higher than wharf No. 1).

Completing and putting into operation the 50,000-ton wharf is proof of THACO's determination to develop a multi-industry industrial group and continue to attract investors to Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, thereby promoting the socio-economic development of Quang Nam.

THACO also inaugurated the THACO INDUSTRIES R&D Center; auto body components factory; high-end auto glass factory; auto electrical equipment factory; inaugurated the THACO Bus factory's production technology line and introduced the new product line-up of the THACO Truck and THACO Bus brands.

THACO's investment projects in Nui Thanh contribute to realizing the orientations according to the Quang Nam Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030.

According to Mr. Pham Ngoc Dao - Director of Hong Dao Chu Lai Joint Stock Company, goods are exported to demanding markets such as Japan, Korea, Australia, and European countries, so businesses must ensure a quality management system so that products have a brand name and meet partners' regulations on environmental protection. The company's operating principles are to meet expectations, bring satisfaction to customers; create long-term jobs, stable income for employees; and contribute significantly to the state budget.

Mr. Le Van Sinh - Chairman of Nui Thanh District People's Committee said that the local industrial sector is moving strongly with the activities of 142 enterprises investing more than 62,140 billion VND, creating jobs for more than 30,000 workers.

Nui Thanh has become a dynamic economic zone and key industrial zone of Quang Nam. In 2024, the total value of industrial and construction production will reach more than 68,000 billion VND; contributing greatly to the total budget revenue of the whole province.

According to Mr. Le Van Sinh, Nui Thanh has many conditions to become the industrial “capital” of the whole province. Developing industry to become the main economic sector of the locality, accounting for the largest proportion of the economy, is the main driving force in the coming years.

Industrial development contributes to realizing the orientations according to the Quang Nam Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030. That is to promote the development of the automobile manufacturing and assembly industry, mechanical, electrical and electronic products; form a national multi-purpose mechanical and automobile center; develop supporting industries associated with logistics services, seaport, airport and railway logistics; create a driving force to promote the economy in the Central region, contributing to the industrialization and modernization of the country.

In the coming period, the focus of industrial development in Nui Thanh is to concentrate on developing the Chu Lai - Truong Hai automobile complex into a multi-industry ecosystem with large scale and stature. Developing a logistics center has strategic significance to promote the geo-economic advantages of Nui Thanh.

Develop Chu Lai seaport into a national seaport as planned. Invest in Cua Lo waterway capable of accommodating 50,000-ton ships. Form a system of Tam Hoa and Tam Giang ports capable of developing port and logistics services.

In Nui Thanh district, the infrastructure system has recently received investment attention. Specifically, investment in construction and completion of infrastructure of Tam Anh 1 Industrial Park, Tam Anh Industrial Park, An Hoa and industrial clusters of the district.

The People's Committee of Nui Thanh district urgently cleared the land and handed over the land to investors to synchronously build the infrastructure of the Tam Anh Nam specialized agricultural and forestry industrial park. The gas-electricity project in Tam Quang is being promoted. The Vo Chi Cong route is being completed to connect with Chu Lai airport, ensuring the connection between coastal regions from Da Nang - Quang Nam - Quang Ngai, creating a traffic artery for industrial development.
