Meaningful story from the scrap yard
At the " scrap village ", where each small house is only about 10 square meters wide, cramped, messy, and quiet. In contrast to the bustling atmosphere of the city, this place has no Tet flowers or sparkling lights, only quiet people, living each day in hardship and difficulty. Our group visited each house, listening to them confide in each other about their desire to "have food and clothes", then we were saddened by the glances that passed by each other, sometimes hesitant, sometimes full of hope.
People in the scrap village always wish for a full Tet.

Businesses and individuals contributed to the program of giving Tet gifts to the poor. The total amount was more than 135 million VND, of which 100 million VND came from Thanh Nien reporters and close readers of the newspaper; the rest was contributed by Ms. Le Thi Giau, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Binh Tay Food Joint Stock Company and friends. In addition, we also received support from Kim Cuong Vang Company and Mr. Thai Chi Hung, giving 50 health gifts, each worth more than 1 million VND. These gifts not only bring material joy, but also show concern for the health of people who have endured so much hardship.
Tet in the scrap yard may not be like Tet in other places, without lavish feasts, fireworks or flowers. But today, the people here have had a dream Tet: a Tet where the simple dreams of the scrap yard residents have been fulfilled, where sharing and love turn a poor Tet into a spring full of hope.
