On November 5, the AVP website reported on a Russian missile attack on a meeting of officers of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade (Armed Forces of Ukraine). The meeting took place in the village of Dimitrovo, Zaporozhye region. Footage of the attack was captured by a Russian drone.
According to AVP , it is believed that about 50 Ukrainian servicemen, including senior officers of the Brigade, were killed as a result of the attack. The number of injured is said to be 18. It is known that among the dead were the Brigade commander and the Deputy Division Commander.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry acknowledged a missile attack, but the casualty figure given was significantly lower than that reported by unofficial sources.
On all fronts, fighting continues to rage, with both sides continuing to launch attacks on each other’s rear areas. The Russian military still maintains a significant advantage in precision strikes and continues to destroy a large number of military infrastructure facilities across Ukraine, including industrial facilities that serve the military’s needs.
On the night of November 3, Russia attacked multiple targets across Ukraine. About 40 drones as well as various missiles were said to have been used in the attack.
According to media reports, explosions were heard in Starokonstantinov, Kharkiv, Krivoy Rog, Vinnitsa and Kropyvnytskyi. Lviv and Odessa regional authorities confirmed damage to a number of important infrastructure facilities in the night attacks.
In Kharkiv, Russian Geranium drones attacked a building where, according to preliminary reports, foreign mercenaries were staying.
In recent days, Russian forces have caused significant damage to military facilities across Ukraine. Russian drones attacked targets in the Poltava region, including the Kremenchug oil refinery, which supplies fuel to Ukrainian forces. According to Ukrainian authorities, the plant was severely damaged and has been taken out of service.
Another target attacked in recent days was Mirgorod airport, where planes carrying Storm Shadow cruise missiles took off and attacked multiple Russian positions.
