Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) said that despite being affected by storms and floods, TKV's revenue still reached over 102% in the first 10 months of 2024.
In October 2024, the Group directed and operated coal production, screening and consumption units according to plan, prepared sources and consumption, coordinated production plan operations, quickly overcame the consequences of storms and stabilized production. Raw coal production reached 3.08 million tons, consumption was 3.39 million tons; stripped soil reached 13.3 million m3; tunnel excavation reached 24,296 meters. Converted alumina mineral production reached 106 thousand tons, consumption was 142 thousand tons. Copper concentrate produced 8.17 thousand tons, produced 2,460 tons of copper plate; 826 tons of zinc ingots; 12,650 thousand tons of steel billets.

In addition, the Group produced and consumed 720 million kWh of electricity; produced 6,300 tons of explosives, consumed 9,000 tons. Produced 18,500 tons of Ammonium Nitrate, consumed 14,900 tons. Completing the basic targets according to the operating plan, the total revenue in October 2024 reached 13,430 billion VND. Thus, the cumulative revenue of the entire TKV Group in 10 months is estimated at 137,157 billion VND, reaching 102.5% over the same period. Commercial coal reached 40.98 million tons; raw coal produced 30.66 million tons; excavated soil and rock reached 118.1 million m3. The total number of tunnel meters reached 218,415 meters. Consumed 37.76 million tons of coal, of which 32.37 million tons were supplied to electricity households. Production of 1.153 million tons of converted alumina, consumption of 1.17 million tons. Copper concentrate 93.54 thousand tons, copper plate production 24,550 tons, consumption 23,902 tons, zinc ingots 7,700 tons, steel billets 138.92 thousand tons. Production of 7.744 billion kWh. Chemical and industrial explosives indicators basically completed. Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group has directed units to implement production plans, overcome the consequences of storms and floods and stabilize production again.

Entering November 2024, TKV will resolutely urge, closely coordinate, make efforts and endeavors of units, focus all resources to operate all production and business activities, strive to complete the 2024 plan. TKV implements the production and business plan for November 2024 with a number of key targets. Produce 14.27 million tons of raw coal; 10.95 million m3 of stripped soil; 23,655 thousand meters of digging tunnels; consume 4.06 million tons of coal. It is expected that Alumina production will reach 112 thousand tons of products, 7,062 tons of copper concentrate, 2,745 tons of copper plate... Target production is 845 million kWh of electricity, 7,000 tons of explosives, 19,000 tons of Ammonium Nitrate...

To complete the set targets, TKV Group will continue to overcome storm damage, stabilize production; continue to direct coal production units to be proactive, flexible, maximize resources and equipment capacity to increase labor productivity, compensate for the output shortage when production has to stop due to the impact of storms. At the same time, reserve and supply enough coal to serve electricity production and the economy, increase coal export output, and consume high-quality coal types.
