The Prime Minister has just issued a decision on appointing Mr. Le Manh Hung, member of the Board of Members, General Director of PVN, to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Members of PVN.

This decision will take effect from January 1, 2024. The term of appointment is 5 years.

The current Chairman of PVN is Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong. Mr. Vuong will retire from January 1, 2024.

Mr. Le Manh Hung was born on October 24, 1973, in Hung Yen. He has a professional qualification as an engineer in petrochemical and organic synthesis technology, and a doctorate in petrochemistry and organic catalysis.

During his career, Mr. Hung has many years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having worked in many units in the industry such as technology engineer at the Vietnam - Russia Oil Refinery Joint Venture Company; technology engineer, Technical Division, Drilling Mud and Petroleum Chemicals Corporation (DMC).

In 2006, Mr. Hung was transferred to the Government Office as an officer of the Petroleum Department and then returned to PVN as Deputy Head of the Petroleum Processing Department in 2007.

Next, he held positions such as Deputy General Director of Long Son Petrochemical Joint Venture Company, Head of Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Complex Project Management Board, and General Director of Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Company Limited (PVCFC).

From October 1, 2013 to the end of June 2019, Mr. Hung was Deputy General Director of PVN.

From July 1, 2019 to present, Mr. Hung holds the position of member of the Board of Members and General Director of PVN.

PVN Chairman will retire from January 1, 2024 Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), will retire from January 1, 2024.
