From early morning, Ms. Dao Thi Hoa in Minh Thanh commune (Dau Tieng district) woke up to prepare meals. Joy was kindled in her heart because she woke up early not to go to tap rubber as usual. On the morning of October 28, she took her son to Thuan An city to receive a scholarship. The mother and son arrived very early at the Thuan An City Youth Activity Center. After helping her son to a sitting position, Ms. Hoa told that Hung is in 6th grade, but had an accident when he was young, so he has difficulty walking.

Every day, Ms. Hoa goes to tap latex, her husband works as a construction worker. The cost of living, medicine and tuition for the child often exceeds the family's ability to pay. This is the first time Hung has received a scholarship. "The family is very grateful to the benefactor. The scholarship not only covers tuition but also helps my child feel less self-conscious and more confident in overcoming difficulties to continue studying well," Ms. Hoa said. Sitting next to her, Ms. Huynh Thi Hoa, the parent of B.D.HH, a 6th grade student at Thuan Giao Secondary School, was in tears because she could not hold back her emotions.
Ms. Hoa said that her family has 5 children. Every day, she stays home to take care of 5 young children and her mother-in-law who is seriously ill. Living expenses depend entirely on her husband's meager income. Many times, teachers have given priority to let her children pay tuition in installments, instead of paying all at once because the amount is too large for the family's conditions. Due to difficult circumstances, the whole family currently lives together in a rented room in Thuan An City. But that does not discourage B.D.HH. She has been an excellent student for many years. "The scholarship is not only material support but also a source of spiritual encouragement for children to overcome obstacles in study and life," Ms. Hoa shared.
DTQ, a 7th grade student at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary School, An Thanh Ward (Thuan An City), said that her father is a motorbike taxi driver with an unstable income. Her mother works as an office worker. The tuition fees for the two of them plus the living expenses are higher than their parents' income, so the family faces many difficulties. Sharing with us, DTQ said that she is still luckier than many other friends, because after all, she still has both her father and mother. She is very happy to be one of 200 students present in Thuan An City to receive the scholarship "Connecting love - Helping to go to school".
The scholarship helps ease some of the difficulties in life for my family and my friends. “We will try our best to study well and become useful people so as not to disappoint the expectations of our teachers, local leaders and sponsors,” DTQ shared.

On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, this year Tan Hiep Phat Company organized the awarding of 800 scholarships in the 4 above-mentioned provinces and cities.
