“Golden” resources for the smokeless industry

From the available natural "gold mines", in recent years, Quang Ninh has continuously created, renewed, promoted the value, turning this precious resource into a driving force for sustainable tourism development, contributing to actively participate in socio-economic development towards green growth.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the 3-day Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday, Ha Long International Passenger Port and Tuan Chau International Passenger Port had more than 1,000 cruises carrying over 31,000 domestic and international tourists to visit, experience and relax in Ha Long Bay during the holiday. Not only during peak holidays, Ha Long Bay with its outstanding values in terms of landscape, geology, geomorphology, richness, ecological richness, cultural history, is always the top attractive destination of Quang Ninh.

Over the years, the province has always promoted this strength with many types of services such as: Sightseeing tourism; cultural tourism, eco-tourism, entertainment tourism, shopping, overnight stay on Ha Long Bay... In particular, visiting Ha Long Bay on luxury cruises has become a "specialty", a unique brand of Quang Ninh. Tourists not only enjoy the beauty of Ha Long Bay like a watercolor painting, but also enjoy high-class tourism services on luxurious, modern cruises like floating hotels cruising on the bay, with an impressive, emotional travel journey.

In 2025, the Ha Long Bay Management Board plans to register to open 3 more beaches to serve tourists, including: Soi Sim Island Beach, Hang Co area and Trinh Nu Cave area. These are all beautiful sandy beaches located at the foot of the land and rock islands in the middle of Ha Long Bay. It is expected that this year, the province will open a tourist route from Lan Ha Bay to Ha Long Bay, thereby making the most of the resources of Vietnam's first inter-provincial Heritage (Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago World Natural Heritage).

Ms. Nguyen Ha My (tourist from Hanoi) shared: I have been to Ha Long Bay many times but this is the first time I have experienced tourism in Bai Tu Long Bay. Different from Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay has a system of inhabited islands, so in addition to enjoying the wonderful natural scenery, we also experienced the daily life and unique indigenous culture of the people here.

Not only the sea and islands, if you want to find a peaceful, quiet space and experience the unique Buddhist culture, visitors can come to the sacred Yen Tu mountain. In the summer, in the blazing sun, the road to Yen Tu is still shaded by the shade of pine, pine, bamboo, with the sound of flowing streams and cool breezes. Different from the crowded, bustling atmosphere of the spring festival, Yen Tu in the fall is deep and quiet. In the winter, the space of Yen Tu is hazy with fog and floating incense smoke. Just like that, the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter follow each other in the year, sometimes the transitional moments of the day make the footsteps of Buddhists feel like they are lost in a fairyland.

The green border area from Binh Lieu to Mong Cai is also adding a complete stroke to the beautiful natural picture of Quang Ninh today. The white grass hillsides in late autumn, the winding border roads through the mountains, the golden terraced fields, the pristine white So forests or the Khe Van and Khe Tien waterfalls with their murmuring water day and night are all natural "treasures" that Binh Lieu is developing into eco-tourism products, unique experiences that cannot be found anywhere else. In particular, the harmonious combination of natural resources and indigenous culture is helping Binh Lieu and Mong Cai become new and attractive destinations on the Quang Ninh tourism map.

The effective exploitation of natural resources to create unique tourism products and synchronous investment in modern transportation and tourism infrastructure has contributed to positioning the Quang Ninh tourism brand as a friendly, safe, classy and unique destination, creating a solid foundation for the province to develop tourism in a professional and sustainable direction.
