The photo and video contest “Happy Vietnam 2024” was officially launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and relevant agencies in March 2024 and has now completed 3/4 of its journey. This is not only an annual contest, but also part of a series of media events and exhibitions on human rights in Vietnam in 2024.
The contest aims to discover and honor meaningful moments and stories about all aspects of Vietnam's political, economic, cultural and social life through photos and videos by domestic and international authors, vividly affirming Vietnam's achievements in the field of human rights...
Based on the monthly award criteria in Decision No. 51/QD-TTĐN dated June 25, 2024, the Organizing Committee of the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024" has selected and announced the works that won the September awards as follows:
* Photo category
1. First Prize: Work: Big Dien Bien Soldier - Small Dien Bien Soldier . Author: Tran Huu Dung.
2. Second Prize: Work: Connecting the community, healthy to serve and spread happiness. Author: Nguyen Van Truong Thi.
3. Third Prize : Work: Having fun shopping for Tet at my maternal grandparents' house . Author: Vu Duy Khanh.
* Video Category
1. First prize: Video “ Kitchen – Cupboard – Tray” subsidy, a free ticket back to childhood. Author Nguyen Hai Yen
2. Second Prize : Video “Hanoi: Resistance – Construction – Innovation” . Author Nguyen The Cuong
3. Third Prize: Video “Hoang Su Phi – Shan Tuyet Tea”. Author Dao Lan Phuong

– Award ceremony in person at the Headquarters of the Department of Foreign Information – 115 Tran Duy Hung, Cau Giay, Hanoi.
– For authors who live far away and are unable to receive the award in person, the Organizing Committee will contact and send the award by post.

The popular photo and video contest “Happy Vietnam” is held annually and was very successful for the first time in 2023. In 2024, the contest will continue to be held for the second time on the website by the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. https://happy.vietnam.vn . The contest is launched nationwide to attract the participation of a large number of authors across the country. Authors, both professional and amateur, Vietnamese and foreign, domestic or foreign, can participate.
The contest aims to honor individuals and groups with positive information products, making practical contributions to the propaganda and promotion of a beautiful image of Vietnam to the world. Thereby helping people in the country, compatriots abroad and international friends access authentic images of the country, Vietnamese people, Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights, towards a happy Vietnam.
Each contest category (photo and video) has the following prizes and prize values:
– 01 Gold Medal: 70,000,000 VND
– 02 Silver Medals: 20,000,000 VND
– 03 Bronze Medals: 10,000,000 VND
– 10 Consolation prizes: 5,000,000 VND
– 01 most voted work: 5,000,000 VND
The winning authors will be invited by the Organizing Committee to attend the announcement ceremony and award prizes and certificates on live television broadcast of Vietnam Television.
After 5 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received active participation from authors from all 63 provinces and cities nationwide, especially many foreign authors. Out of a total of more than 4,000 photo and video entries to date, Quang Ninh province has the largest number of entries with more than 300 entries, followed by Hanoi (more than 250 entries) and An Giang (more than 200 entries).
To facilitate the authors to continue registering for the contest, the Organizing Committee would like to announce the extension of the deadline for receiving entries until 24:00 on October 15, 2024. Address for receiving entries: https://happy.vietnam.vn.
