(GLO)- Many people often compare Ta Chi Tao to “a person who has returned from the dead”. Up to now, he has had 4 poetry collections about Uncle Ho, which have been granted publishing licenses by the Vietnam Writers Association.
In the history of Vietnam and the world, President Ho Chi Minh is the only person to be honored by UNESCO with the double title: National Liberation Hero, Outstanding Cultural Celebrity. The combination of “heroic qualities” and “cultural qualities” has created the uniqueness of Ho Chi Minh: He is a very cultural hero and a very heroic culturalist.
Participating in the writing contest “Good people, good deeds, typical advanced and excellent examples” for the 4th time in Gia Lai province, there are diverse subjects, covering all areas of social life: politics, economics, culture, society, national defense, security. Shown in the major movements of the province.
In this contest, I write about Mr. Ta Chi Tao personally, considering this as a recognition and reflection of good people and good deeds in the movement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" that the Party and State have widely promoted throughout the country, in which Gia Lai province pays great attention and cares properly.

Ta Chi Tao was born in 1957 in Tay Son district, Binh Dinh province, the hometown of the Tay Son Tam Kiet, where Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac used to be the District Chief of Binh Khe (now Tay Son district, Binh Dinh province) and Nguyen Tat Thanh visited his father before finding a way to save the country.
With the desire to serve in the education sector, after graduating, Mr. Ta Chi Tao volunteered to go to Gia Lai-Kom Tum to teach students of the new economy - as a group leader (in 1977). He was assigned by the Department of Education to Chu Prong district and was assigned to Point 5 of the new economy - My Phu commune, now Ia Blang commune, Chu Se district. He taught and did management work. When Chu Se district was established (August 17, 1981), he was transferred to work at the Department of Education and Training from 1981 until about 1 month before retirement. But unfortunately, nasopharyngeal cancer struck! So he asked for a one-time leave of absence hoping to receive funding during his time of service because the disease was too severe and he was afraid he would not survive...
His family had to sell residential land on half of the street frontage to treat his terminal illness and to divide it among his children so that he could pass away peacefully and happily!
During the period from the onset of the disease in 2015 until now, with the writing of a teacher and a member of the Gia Lai Literature and Arts Association, Vice Chairman of the Literature and Arts Club of Chu Se district, he has been passionate about learning and researching books, newspapers, and documents about beloved Uncle Ho. His family's bookshelf alone has several hundred books about Uncle Ho. And so, he has always kept in mind to write poems about leader Ho Chi Minh. In the first collection of poems, poet Van Cong Hung wrote in the introduction: "For a long time, I have not accepted to write book introductions for anyone. This time, I have broken the rule to write for an education officer who has been with me for decades... the words have guided him and he also anchored himself in the words so that everyone will remember him...".
Ta Chi Tao is often compared to "a person who has returned from the dead". Up to now, he has had 4 collections of poems written about Uncle Ho, which have been licensed for publication by the Vietnam Writers Association, including a collection of poems: 79 poems written about Him (2020) and 3 collections of poems with the same name: 108 two-line six-eight verses about Him - Collection 1: Thien (Thien thoi) in 2021; Collection 2: Dai (Dia loi) in 2022; Collection 3: Nhan (Nhan hoa) in 2023. This is a great effort of Mr. Tao. Although he is continuing to be re-examined at the Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, he is still passionate about composing. More specifically, writing about beloved Uncle Ho, at a time when the whole country continues to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style.
Mr. Tao has published 4 poetry collections about Uncle Ho. His family paid for the printing, one of which was sponsored by the director of the provincial department in Nghe An, a provincial leader. He contacted the provincial, district and school libraries to support the purchase of some collections. In particular, he sent these poetry collections to the Kim Lien Relic Site (Nghe An), the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch, Gia Lai and Kon Tum Branches, especially the school libraries of 3 districts: Chu Prong, Chu Se and Chu Puh. The works were also published in the magazine of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Chu Se District Party Committee, introduced by Gia Lai Newspaper, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, etc.
Mr. Tao is recognized by the locality and has a positive influence on the community. He has been Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training for many years, a Party member, and a delegate to the People's Council of Chu Se district for 4 consecutive terms... more or less setting an example of good people and good deeds.
Speaking of Mr. Tao's passion for writing poems about Uncle Ho, I think of and remember the writer Son Tung - a special writer, a Labor Hero, a ¼ disabled veteran (80% disabled) with 14 wounds on his body, 3 pieces of bullet still stuck in his skull... with more than 20 books written about Uncle Ho.
A poet wrote about Mr. Tao's poetry in the Health and Life newspaper: "Let's not talk about the quality of the poetry, but just the careful attitude in writing, collecting materials and publishing of a person with a serious illness is enough to see how strange it is."
His friends also noted: Ta Chi Tao - the person who wrote two six-eight verses about Him; Ta Chi Tao - Poetry is a support and belief; Ta Chi Tao - "Racing" with time.
Through the poetry collections written about Uncle Ho, we see that Ta Chi Tao has devoted a lot of effort and effort to researching about Uncle Ho with a sincere heart and infinite gratitude.
I hope that Ta Chi Tao's poetry will be of interest to everyone, and will be referenced and shared to contribute to studying and following Uncle Ho's example.
Mr. Ta Chi Tao is not very expressive, but through some accurate information, he hid his family's name in sponsoring the construction of a level 4 house of over 30 m2 for a Jrai ethnic family in O Rung village in 2022 (donating money through the Chu Se District Red Cross and My Thach Pagoda).
In addition to writing poetry, Mr. Tao also wrote prose to praise and propagate... such as writing about the People's Armed Forces Hero Kpui Thu during the period of fighting the Americans and their henchmen (now in Ia Hlop commune, Chu Se district) and about the Vietnamese Heroic Mother Rmah AMia in Orung village (Ia Ko commune, Chu Se district), now 103 years old.
Mr. Tao also presented several sessions at the District Political Center during extracurricular activities on the topic: Stories and events of Uncle Ho associated with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
It turns out that, besides medical treatment, optimism, spiritual strength, being able to do what you love, in this case writing, poetry...
He lived and worked like that, he was awarded medals for Education and Training, for the Red Cross, for Literature and Arts.
Although Mr. Ta Chi Tao is an ordinary person, he has done many good deeds and acts worthy of a noble new factor in his life... He believes that although he is undergoing a regular check-up for cancer, for the rest of his life he will continue to write two-line six-eight poems about Uncle Ho.
Mr. Tao is an example of constantly studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, most notably writing poems about Uncle Ho, to always be worthy of being Uncle Ho's descendant.
