Soc Trang organizes a meeting to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of Vietnam Photography Tradition Day

(NADS) - On the morning of March 15, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists of Soc Trang province coordinated with the Executive Committee of the Photography Association of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to organize a meeting to celebrate the 72nd Anniversary of Vietnam Photography Tradition Day (March 15, 1953 - March 15, 2025).

Attending the event were: Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association; Mr. Dinh Cong Tam, Head of the Vietnam Association of Photographers in Soc Trang Province and many members of the local Photography Association.

At the meeting, everyone reviewed the tradition of Vietnam Photography Day, looked back at the creative process, artistic activities and proposed a common direction for the coming time. The meeting was an opportunity for members to meet, exchange, learn experiences and unite in creation, promote the sense of responsibility of the photographer, keep the flame of enthusiasm and passion, continue to create valuable works to contribute to promoting the land and people of Soc Trang.

NSNA Dinh Cong Tam, President of the Vietnam NSNA Association in Soc Trang province, presented the decision to admit Mr. Tran Thuan as a member of the Vietnam NSNA Association.

Over the years, Soc Trang province's photography has achieved many achievements and high awards domestically and internationally; always raising the sense of responsibility to demonstrate professional skills, creative level, sense of responsibility for their political tasks, joining hands to contribute to the achievements of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

At the meeting, the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts in Soc Trang province announced the decision to admit Mr. Tran Thuan as a member of the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts and commended outstanding members with outstanding achievements in recent times.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Vietnam Association of Photographers, Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, awarded the Bronze Medal and the 2024 Outstanding Photography Award to Photographer Dinh Cong Tam; Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Association of Photographers to Photographer Tang Hung Son; Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in 2024.

The Chairman of the Soc Trang Province Literature and Arts Association delivered a congratulatory speech expressing his appreciation for the members' contributions to the general art of photography, and at the same time informing members about upcoming movements in the province, region and country such as: National target program on new rural construction; Program on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; Farmers competing in good production and business; Studying and following Uncle Ho's example... thereby helping members and photography artists have a specific plan and direction in creative work, creating many valuable works to serve the spiritual life of the public, the development of the locality and the country.

After the meeting, the Photography Association members organized a field trip to compose at the Pink Trumpet Flower Festival in Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province.
