The Forum "Chairman of Vietnam Farmers' Association" is coming soon

(TN&MT) - As planned, in mid-November 2024, the Forum "Chairman of Vietnam Farmers' Union - Minister of Natural Resources and Environment: Listening to farmers speak" will be held in Hanoi to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of farmers and cooperatives before the Conference of the Prime Minister's dialogue with farmers in 2024.

The forum “Chairman of Vietnam Farmers' Union - Minister of Natural Resources and Environment: Listening to farmers speak” will be held in Hanoi to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of farmers and cooperatives.

The Forum is chaired and organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union in coordination with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Attending and co-chairing the Forum will be comrade Do Duc Duy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and comrade Luong Quoc Doan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.

According to the Forum Organizing Committee, the event "Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union - Minister of Natural Resources and Environment: Listening to farmers speak" was organized to concretize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on "Continuing to innovate and perfect institutions and policies, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of land management and use, creating momentum to turn our country into a developed country with high income"; Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas to 2030, with a vision to 2045 of the 13th Party Central Committee. In particular, to promote the implementation of the 2024 Land Law to cadres and farmer members nationwide.

The forum was also organized to implement Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW dated December 20, 2023 of the Politburo on innovation and improving the quality of activities of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to meet the requirements and revolutionary tasks in the new period.

The forum is an opportunity for cadres, farmer members nationwide, outstanding farmers, typical cooperatives, experts, scientists, and businesses to share and propose ideas and aspirations to the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on mechanisms and policies to promote the implementation of the 2024 Land Law to serve sustainable green transformation; Towards the goal of reducing net emissions to 0 (NetZero) by 2050 as Vietnam has committed; Issues on protecting the green, clean, and safe agricultural and rural environment.

Through the forum, the Party and State's policies on environmental protection and climate change adaptation are disseminated, especially on environmental issues, land, Vietnam's NetZero goals, as well as directives, resolutions, and action programs of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in supporting farmers to promote their central role in protecting the rural environment and developing green and sustainable agriculture. The forum is organized to strengthen close and practical coordination between the Farmers' Union and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

The Forum is an important activity ahead of the 2024 Prime Minister's Dialogue with Farmers Conference, which aims to collect and synthesize recommendations and proposals from officials and farmers' associations to send to the Prime Minister; demonstrating the central role of farmers in issues related to resources and the environment.
