Meanwhile, students play a particularly important role in environmental protection. They not only directly carry out specific actions in their daily lives to protect the environment, such as saving electricity and water, limiting the use of plastic products, sorting waste, participating in tree planting activities; but also are effective propagandists, spreading the message of environmental protection to family, friends and the community, becoming positive role models, encouraging adults to think and act for the environment.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh called on all schools, from primary, secondary and high schools nationwide, to participate in this Award with the highest sense of responsibility. At the same time, the Deputy Minister hopes that through this Award, we will discover and share experiences of many advanced ecological school models, contributing to spreading the green lifestyle, green learning, emission reduction and environmental protection to all students.
In order for the 2024 ASEAN Vietnam Eco-School Award to be truly effective; the Deputy Minister requested relevant units under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of localities, news agencies and newspapers to proactively and actively inform and promote the Award to all schools nationwide; in particular, it is necessary to pay attention to and convey information to schools in remote, border and island areas to ensure that all schools in Vietnam have the opportunity to submit applications to participate in the award.
